AutoDesk Desktop App “Another instance is running. This instance will abort.”

When installing the Autodesk Desktop App, the following issue appears launching the installer.

Error – Another instance is running. This instance will abort

This is the solution to resolve the above error message “Another instance is running”. This instance will abort.

1. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Autodesk.
2. Find the file AdApplicationManager-installer.init.lock and remove it. If the file cannot be find, look into C:\ProgramData.
3. Try again to install Autodesk Desktop App.
